How I Work With You

As part of my online life coaching sessions (based in Halstead, Colchester) I also use Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) in order to work with clients on a deeper and more holistic level. We will take time to gain a clear picture of your issues as you see them, along with what you hope to achieve from our sessions, before choosing which technique would be most beneficial for you. I may use life coaching, NLP, and hypnotherapy together, as all these modalities work on your unconscious mind and allow us to get to the root of your issues, or decide to focus more on EFT for those struggling with dependence issues (alcohol, smoking, etc.) or anxiety.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy involves using the skill of hypnosis in a therapeutic setting to stimulate meaningful life changes. By entering a deeply relaxed state of consciousness, we can connect with the subconscious mind. All our thoughts, feelings, values and beliefs are stored within the subconscious mind; hypnosis targets this area and embeds positive suggestions that are beneficial to you, influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour in a positive way. Hypnotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of issues like fears and phobias, anxiety and stress, panic attacks, insomnia, lack of self-confidence, weight management, alcohol moderation/reduction and smoking cessation.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP is a communications model which applies a set of techniques that enable us to positively change your own internal communication. Through understanding how we respond to our own internal communication, we can reprogramme our thought processes to creative more positive outcomes. It gives you the platform to take control of your destiny and steer your life in any direction you wish. Together, we will recognise how certain thought patterns, values, and beliefs don’t help you, before replacing them with positive, empowering beliefs that change your behaviour for the better.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is a physical form of acupuncture, based on ancient Chinese medicine principles, with the belief that for a person to function as a ‘whole’ and to be free from pain and disease, mentally and physically, all energy channels (meridians) need to be in balance. As well as tapping on various points on the body, we combine this with words and language. We use words that mean something to you and support the changing of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It is a powerful technique that can be easily taught. You can learn to use it yourself whenever you feel the need to.
